I was heartsick when I pulled the original stocking out of storage at the end of 2007 and discovered it had been damaged from exposure to water in our basement. I have so many childhood/family memories tied up in that stocking - and now I have this gift of love from my sister to cherish for years to come. I nearly cried when I opened the gift. I only wish my sister had been able to give it to me in person (we are separated by many miles and this was not a Christmas when we were together). The stocking is mine and I love it.
